Militant Zone announces a new open thematic art competition dedicated to #BulletCrownedKingReigns

We invite designers, artists, and illustrators from all over the world to submit their works — to compete for prizes and become part of future Militant Zone projects.

From the very beginning, our goal has been to bring new energy to a scene that too often repeats itself. Visual language matters — in art, in merchandise, in everything we create. This competition is a way to find and support artists who share this vision.

$3000 prize pool:
1st place — $1000
2nd place — $500
3rd place — $250 each

Who can participate?
Anyone — both professionals and amateurs: graphic designers, artists, illustrators, and graffiti artists.

What is the theme?
The central figure remains the Dead King — crowned with a bullet crown. Participants may freely reinterpret this image while preserving the key elements: a skull, a bullet crown, a burning gaze. You may also explore related images and ideas: the Necrocrator, the King-Who-Sleeps-in-the-Mound, as well as themes of war and heritage. Broader themes may include Northern mythology and symbolic images: Irminsul, drakkars, Wotan, WJ, the themes of Militant Zone projects, Ukraine and the Ukrainian Army (including RDK), as well as other related motifs.

What formats are accepted?
Digital art is a priority (raster or vector),
but any medium is allowed — including traditional techniques and graffiti.
The use of AI tools is welcomed — especially when combined with strong artistic direction and design skills.
We value authorship, composition, and the ability to shape a clear visual result.
Selected works may be used in future Militant Zone releases and projects.

Selection process

The winners will be chosen by the Militant Zone jury.
